Located near Chester the Hooton Bio Power facility processes approximately 270,000 tonnes/year of refuse derived waste (otherwise destined for landfill) utilising the Kobelco fluidised bed gasifier. This project being the first unsubsidised merchant gasification facility in the UK. The team also managed development, financial close, technology selection and the build process as project manager and manage the operations through a Management Services Agreement (MSA).

The team led the ROC accreditation process and liaised heavily with OFGEM and their auditors.

This facility in Tyseley, Birmingham, uses local waste wood feedstock and Nexterra technology through to a boiler and steam turbine. The project was the catalyst to create a renewable energy hub called Tyseley Energy Park. The development, financial close, technology selection and the provision of Management Services to the SPV. For a transition period the team led the provision of O&M services. The team led the ROC accreditation process and liaised heavily with OFGEM and their auditors.

Located in Leicestershire, this facility processes 72,000 tonnes/year of locally sourced waste wood, minimizing environmental impact through reduced delivery miles. The project built as a close replica of the Birmingham Bio Power facility. As with Birmingham Bio Power, the team also managed development, financial close, management services provision through construction and operations phases. For a period, through Nexterra Operations Limited the team also led the provision of O&M services on the Plant. The team also led the ROC accreditation process and liaised heavily with OFGEM and their auditors.

Acme Trek
Acme Trek located in Stoke-on-Trent was one of the first projects in the UK to receive ROC accreditation utilising gasification on a waste wood biomass feedstock utilising gasification into engines. The team were instrumental in all aspects of this project as the developer, project manager and operator.
